APPROACH
Because this was the 5th annual race, the client wanted to put an emphasis on that milestone. The design of the shirt had several layers of meaning. At first glance, it seems like a straightforward approach of repeating the word five, providing emphasis to the number of kilometers, and the event being in it's fifth year. However, the highlight of the letter "V" provides deeper meaning as it is the Roman Numeral for 5. The duplicated highlighting of the letter "V" is also represents the lines on a highway and is meant to create motion.
